Jessica Hsuan (宣萱) is turning 50 years old in a few years time. She has been making public appearances recently and always acts as a good person in the series. Jessica is also considered TV Queen to the netizens after acting as “Sister Mall” (2016). As for her next career path, Jessica will be filming the classic series, A Step into the Past (尋秦記) again and acting as a villain in Chinese drama after joining Louis Koo’s (古天樂) company.
Jessica said: “Filming drama in China is versatile and they will not choose the role for you based on your appearance only, so it is very challenging. I am acting as a villain openly in new drama (聽雪樓). All my role characters are positive in the past and I need to practise my eye expression and play with it slowly. I can adapt to the environment easily and do not feel home sick whenever working in China. I get to eat and sleep well over there. I definitely focus on my work once leaving Hong Kong.”
As Jessica worked with Louis in A Step into the Past drama previously and will be filming new drama (犯罪現場) with him again, she felt totally relaxed: “I have not receive the script yet and do not feel worried at all as he has high expectations. It is a classic series with good feedbacks until now. How to achieve a breakthrough? He has his own expectations about the script and it is definitely not a problem if he is willing to film it. I will be shooting it after my vacation in July and hoping to produce a quality drama.”
Kenix Kwok (郭可盈), Ada Choi (蔡少芬), Flora Chan (陳慧珊) and Jessica were considered the “4 fadans” (四大花旦) in 2000s and they were married except for Jessica. Although she announced her romances with an Italian boyfriend, Fran and a vet boyfriend, Ruan before, but Jessica remained single until now: “Dating is always a happy experience to me. I leave it to destiny when finding a partner with common interests and feeling comfortable with each other, but he must be a non smoker and loves dog as well.”
Mentioning about the feelings, Jessica revealed one suitor gave her a diamond immediately: “A suitor gives me a diamond necklace and I return it to him. Hahaha! He says it is causal to give diamond but I believe people will talk behind my back if I accept it. Yes!”
Jessica is a strong and independent woman and usually buys jewellery by herself and will not accept a ring if it is unrelated to marriage. When asked about her most expensive jewellery, Jessica said: “It is missing. My mother wears a big necklace since small and gives it to me after that. I feel very guilty as I have lost it forever.”
