ViuTV approaches many former TVB artiste to shoot new series lately. Firstly, it invites Adam Cheng (鄭少秋) and Michael Tao (陶大宇) to film drama (詭探前傳) and Sheren Tang (鄧萃雯) and Sunny Chan (陳錦鴻) to shoot new series related to broken marriage. In addition, Apple Daily (蘋果) received information that ViuTV managed to convince Amy Chan (陳秀雯) who had not film Hong Kong series for 10 years to make a comeback. She will be acting as a school principal in a new film (點五步) directed by Steve Chan (陳志發) and Terrance Lau (劉俊謙) portrays as a teacher.
56 years old Amy Chan joined the acting classes in 1979 and begun to shoot many series including Love Story 1980 and Love Story 1980 II (驟雨中的陽光續集) with her ex-husband, Lam Kwok Hung (林國雄) and Four Couples (對對糊) with Leslie Cheung (張國榮) in 1980s. It is evident that Amy will not act as a young girl this time but a principal who unites with the teachers and students to save the school together.
The reporter from Apple Daily contacted Amy and said: “I have started the shooting for 2 days and assume ViuTV will not do any promotion activities since it does not do much. (How do you feel during the shooting?) It is not bad and I find it quite interesting after hearing the story line. I decide to film it since it is challenging.”
When mentioned about filming ATV series, The Men of Justice (法網群英) which was her last drama 10 years ago, Amy said: “It has been a long time since I shoot Hong Kong film and I find it quite fun after the shooting for 2 days.” As she cooperated with Sheren in TVB series, Fate of the Clairvoyant (再見亦是老婆) in 1994 and ATV drama, The Good Old Days (再見艷陽天) in 1996, both work for ViuTV now and ever wonder if they get a chance to film drama together?
