Carlos Chan (陳家樂) promoted Daddy Cool (逆緣) drama at a radio station on 24th April 2018 and received recognition from the audiences for his outstanding role character. As he was pointed as the replacement for Fred Cheng (鄭俊弘) who was the first choice and it started the comparison between them online, Carlos said: “I have no idea at all. It is normal and does not matter. I know I am not the first choice in Happiness (幸運是我) film too and what matters most is I do my part well.”
Carlos felt surprised that the ratings record was good as he was a pessimistic person who worried about his series was used as stand-by or ended up badly: “My role is quite risky. I try to act based on some comedy effects and worry about being exaggerating but it turns out to be fine and is considered a victory.”
