Gillian Chung (鍾欣潼) and her fiance, Michael Lai (賴弘國) will be getting married in Los Angeles on 25th May 2018. Charlene Choi revealed the wedding had sufficient bride maids and prepared similar dresses with Joey Yung (容祖兒) and Yumiko Cheng (鄭希怡) during an event on 14th April 2018. She also pointed Gillian lacked of experience and the whole wedding preparation was in a mess.
Charlene said: “She even booked the tickets wrongly based on Hong Kong time zone. I asked her if she needed any help in the group chat and she said bride maid dresses. We have already prepared it.”
Charlene also disclosed the wedding dress was a gift from Joey and her and Gillian chose many designs. When asked if it cost more than $200,000, Charlene said: “It does not matter as long as she is getting married glamorously.” As her boyfriend, Anthony Shek’s (石恆聰) birthday happened to be on the same day, Charlene could only celebrate with him upon returning to Hong Kong: “My good friend’s wedding is once in a lifetime but we can celebrate birthday every year.”
