TVB’s big period drama, Deep in the Realm of Conscience (宮心計2深宮計) aired its debut at night on 21st May 2018 and the entire cast team members were present except for Chrissie Chau (周秀娜) who is one of the main leads. She is also absent from the poster and trailer because Chrissie works in Stephen Shiu Jr.’s (蕭定一) company which has ongoing lawsuit with TVB. Although the film producer, Mui Siu Ching (梅小青) expressed they did not reduce any Chrissie’s scenes, but she became transparent in all promotion materials including the latest TVB magazine released on 20th May 2018. Looks like TVB has done all the safety precautions.
The role images in Deep in the Realm of Conscience drama are used in the latest magazine cover. After taking a closer look, does it resemble a promotion poster for Cantonese opera?
We can see Nancy Wu (胡定欣), Annie Liu (劉心悠), Steven Ma (馬浚偉), Kenneth Ma (馬國明), Edwin Siu (蕭正楠), Alice Chan (陳煒), Jacqueline Wong (黃心穎), Michelle Yim (米雪), Susan Tse (謝雪心), Candy Law (羅霖), Akina Hong (康華), Annie Cheong (張慧儀), Pinky Cheung (張文慈), Mary Hon (韓馬利), Lee Lung Kui (李龍基), Rosanne Lui (呂珊), Vivi Lee (李美慧) but where is Chrissie?
Upon browsing the second time, TVB magazine has 154 pages and 20 pages are used to introduce Deep in the Realm of Conscience series and the interviews with the cast team members. However, Chrissie is missing and we finally find her name in the cast team introduction without her photo in page 102. No wonder, Chrissie felt pitiful and helpless at an event a few days ago and could only promote the drama through her social media account.
