Edwin Siu (蕭正楠), Bob Lam (林盛斌), Samantha Ko (高海寧) and Gloria Tang (鄧佩儀) attended the recruitment drive for TV show, Beautiful Cooking (美女廚房) at Ma On Shan on 21st April 2018. As the hosts, Edwin and Bob tried to recruit new culinary goddess and female assistant and there was a wider selection of candidates including TVB artiste.
Asking about the criteria, Edwin replied she must have the basic facial features while Bob remarked he looked at the body figure and she must have culinary skills. When discussed about the past beautiful cooking shows, the most memorable was the “hell chef god” (地獄廚神) and Bob believed there will be one during the show as well. Suggesting Edwin to invite his girlfriend, Priscilla Wong (黃翠如) in order to seek redress for herself at the cooking show, he said: “Seek redress? There is chances and the company may arrange her to appear at the show, but it depends if she is willing to show her culinary skills to the audiences.” He also praised Priscilla’s culinary skills had improved: “Bob will definitely take care of her if she accepts the invitation.”
As for Samantha and Gloria, they were criticised harshly for the special drinks made by themselves and despite the appealing appearance, but it did not look tasty. Although Gloria was good at boiling soup, but she called herself as the “hell culinary goddess” (地獄女廚神) due to finding shrimp shells when cooking shrimp omelette previously. Samantha revealed she was requested to cook 2 shark dishes during the location shooting of Beautiful Cooking show in Thailand: “I use sharp’s head to boil soup and the remaining meat is cooked as braised meat. It is a shocking sight at the time.”
