The relationship between Joey Yung (容祖兒) and Wilfred Lau (劉浩龍) is perceived as mysterious as they are rumoured to break up earlier but Wilfred was invited to her birthday party on 16th June 2018. When asked about it while promoting her new song (心之科學) at a radio station on 26th June 2018, Joey admitted to inviting him: “We do not need to wear make-up when going out to sea and it is fun to enjoy with a group of reliable friends. We are getting older and refrain from staying up overnight. I have dinner with my mother after that and feel overjoyed that my friends wait for me to carry on part 2.”
Mentioning that the reporters discovered that she was having dinner with Wilfred, Joey said: “We are eating dinner together and it is normal for me to see my senior at times. I can eat with anybody and become immune to the comments and gossips now. (Reconciliation?) I live more than 30 years and know how to handle my relationship and work. Please do not worry and show excess concern. (Are you friends or a couple with Wilfred now?) In my world, all are friends except for my family. It is obvious that Wilfred is not my family member.”
When asked about her birthday wish as Joey wished to get married before 40 years old, she hoped that her new song will be popular and her mother stayed healthy always. Suggesting her to learn from her good friend, Gillian Chung (鍾欣潼) to get married and form a family, Joey said: “It does not cross my mind. I am only 38 years old now and it is hard to predict fate. There is changes everyday and we should not force ourselves because of time. I choose to be single when others get married and want to remain popular just like a racing horse.”
