On 28th May, Katy Kung (龔嘉欣), Candice Chiu (趙希洛) and Joel Chan (陳山聰) turned up at a promotion activity for TVB new drama, Brutally Young 2.0 (十八年後的終極告白2.0). Shaun Tam (譚俊彥) played the male lead and “appeared” via video conferencing. Katy disclosed she was completely focused when filming together with Shaun and suffered from a mental breakdown for the finale: “It has been a long time since I shoot similar scenes after Two Steps from Heaven (幕後玩家) series. We drive very fast in a car accident scene. Another scene illustrates Shaun wants to strangle me and I feel like dying. In fact, there is another intimate scene requiring me to expose my back and Shaun and I have reduced several scenes. Television producer told me I do not need to reveal further since getting older.”
Candice revealed she had intimate scenes with many actors and it was the most daring performance: “It is my bottom line. I carry my script and ask everybody if it is allowed. I ask television director for advice and dare not tell my family until now. Let’s take one step at a time.” In the series, Joel plays her husband who reminds her to have ample safety precautions at the set. He said: “We have discussions prior to the filming in order to avoid any misunderstandings.”
