Kenneth Ma (馬國明) won Most Popular Male Character (最受歡迎電視男角色) based on his role character, Ma Kwai (馬季) in The Exorcist’s Meter (降魔的) drama and increased the impression of the cabbies to the audiences. He transformed into a cabby again to shoot taxi advertisement on 18th April 2018 and introduced the fare payment by using the mobile application.
Kenneth was dressed casually during the press conference and reminded the embarrassing incidents as a passenger: “Once, I only realise I have $1000 after getting into the cab. Another time is I need to find somebody for help due to insufficient cash. Hence, using mobile application to pay is good and it is popular in China.” He added it was his first time to earn extra income as a cabby after the series was aired and hope it will continue this way. Kenneth did not expect that acting as a cabby had good responses other than portraying as a doctor and lawyer. He denied that the advertisement fee was inadequate to buy a cabby licence as it was very expensive and he hoped the company will film the sequel.
