In August 2015, Myolie Wu (胡杏兒) set up a bridal boutique, Kevolie with the fashion designer, Kev Yiu (姚子裕) and invited her good friends, Nancy Wu (胡定欣), Selena Lee (李詩嬅) and Elaine Yiu (姚子羚) to showcase the collections as models. However on 7th August 2018, Myolie announced her withdrawal from the business on Instagram.
Myolie left a message: “Thank you to the shareholders and the founder, Kev for letting me to carve out another career and setting up the brand, Kevolie other than being an actress for the past 3 years. I am withdrawing from the business and thank you for the supports all along. From here, I wish prosperity to the business.”
In December 2015, Myolie continued to manage her business after married and hope to balance her business, acting career and family well. She was planning to expand her business to overseas and say at the time: “We may open a branch either in Shanghai or Beijing. It really increases my interest and we are starting to look for partner and location.”
In 2018, Myolie opened an outlet in Shanghai and announced to hold the first fashion show in June in China as the main organiser.
On 8th August 2018, Myolie replied to Apple Daily (蘋果) about the withdrawal from the business: “I have been thinking about it for a long time as cannot keep travelling around and rely on my mother in-law to take care of my son. I feel relieved if the new shareholder is reliable and they will do well. Please continue to support them!”
