TVB’s big period drama, Deep in the Realm of Conscience (宮深計2深宮計) aired the third episode at night on 23rd May 2018 and the most popular discussion is not about the acting skills, fighting in the palace but Nancy Wu’s (胡定欣) make-up instead. She appeared in many scenes in the third episode and nearly all scenes showed that her eyebrow was higher than another. It was very evident when a scene showed she was conversing with Kenneth Ma (馬國明) and ordering the servant. Doesn’t TVB notice it and see there is a problem?
Nancy’s uneven eyebrows becomes a heated discussion and some netizen suspected she offended the make-up artist. But, doesn’t Nancy use a mirror or watch the playback at all? How will she feel after watching the episode? Probably she uses her facial expressions too much and the muscles affect her eyebrows? Upon looking back at her photos on her Instagram account, Nancy does not have any uneven eyebrows.
Nancy explained during a telephone interview: “Haha! I am aware of it and it is unrelated to the make-up artist. It becomes uneven eyebrows when I try to make a facial expression. It is my muscle problem and I tend to have this issue when filming at times. Anyway, I usually look normal.”
