Whenever Detective Investigation Files (刑事偵緝檔案) drama is rebroadcast, it reminds the audiences of the on-screen couple, Michael Tao (陶大宇) and Kenix Kwok (郭可盈) and some audiences even discovered Michael pronounced Kenix’s role name, Jessie in the second instalment as “car key”.
The on-screen couple appeared at the dinner gathering for Detective Investigation Files drama at Tseung Kwan O at night on 22nd June 2018. Michael and Kenix accepted an interview together and he said: “It has been a long time since we see each other and the previous meeting is at the stage performance in China.” Kenix said: “I watch the drama but not all episodes. It has been more than 20 years and it is rare to see that the audiences remain passionate.”
Michael also took the initiative to explain about the pronunciation and say: “The audiences remain suspicious of my pronunciation until now. I have clarified for a long time and she responds when I call her as “car key”. I do not want to talk too much. Perhaps the relationship makes me pronounce wrongly.” Kenix replied that it did not matter: ” Let’s forget it.”
