Shirley Yeung (楊思琦) accepted an interview at a radio station (1圈圈 星光背後) hosted by Terry Leung (梁泰來). When mentioned about giving birth to a daughter in 2012, rejecting to reveal the father’s identity and trying her best to protect her daughter, she replied that her daughter was aware that she had no father at all: “I explained to her several times and she is sensible and understanding. She knows she has no father since kindergarten and my family try to shower her as much love as possible. I will tell and explain to her when she wants to know her father’s identity in the future.”
Shirley believed that becoming a mother did not affect her love blossom and she had suitors all along: “I wish to get married if meeting the right person and it does not matter if I have to stay single. I remain full of confidence in love as every relationship has different experience. Perhaps I will meet a better guy. I believe being married and having children do not reduce my suitors as many people have incomplete marriage lives. Some file for divorce after married and it makes me feel that a relationship is not considered a promise. I continue to have different suitors after having a daughter and reject them because I lack of time and have no idea if he really loves and takes care of me. Of course, I will continue to work even after married and some suitors have the financial ability, but I decide to work and take care of my daughter by myself after the consideration.”
