She accepted an interview from Ming Pao (明周) and disclosed she had suitors all along but rejected their advances. Shirley realised she had missed a good affinity 2 years ago when her daughter, Krystal Yeung (楊卓穎) requested for a younger brother lately.
Shirley revealed her suitor was a 50 years old man who was mature and had strong financial stability, but she was not ready to accept a new relationship and lacked of a sense of security at the time. They failed to remain as friends gradually but Shirley continued to have hopes in relationship.
