Although The Exorcist’s Meter (降魔的) drama starring Kenneth Ma (馬國明), Mandy Wong (黃智雯), Hubert Wu (胡鴻鈞) and Moon Lau (劉佩玥) failed to win Best Drama (最佳劇集) award during 2017 TVB Anniversary Awards (萬千星輝頒獎典禮2017), but it received excellent reviews and many audiences requested TVB to film the sequel. On 1st August 2018, Executive Officer, Ruby (羅佩清) announced the intention to film the sequel online but the details was not finalised yet. However, HK01 (香港01) received news that TVB would begin to shoot the sequel in early 2019.
When asked about it, Kenneth said there was a high possibility during an interview from HK01: “Let’s wait for the company to announce.” As for Anthony Ho (何遠東), he confirmed the filming of the sequel and checking if he would come back to life as he was dead in the series: “Not telling you. You have to ask the audiences, film producer and executive officer if they want to see me again.”
During an interview, Ruby confirmed she was using the original cast team including Ram Chiang (蔣志光): “He is appearing again but in a special way.” As for Moon, she would be learning magic and Kenneth was a successful exorcist: “The plot line will be more intense because of the role characters’ growth!”
