The female film director is almost raped? Kevin Cheng said the safety is most important

A Chinese web series (套路) starring Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎) and Michael Tse (謝天華) was pointed to spend its film budget quickly and one of the investors, Youku (優酷) suddenly announced to halt the shooting and disband the crew team. However on 24th July 2018, the female film director (林淑貞) revealed that she was almost raped by a pilot from Hainan Airlines and the China police persuaded her to go for private settlement. Otherwise, they will charge her for slander.

The film director ((林淑貞) described the whole incident was very scary and clueless about failure to press charge. She also could not understand that a pilot who was responsible for more than hundred of lives chose to risk his life to commit offence by climbing up to the balcony to 18th levels. She felt disappointed when the airline only cared about the budget and said: “But I have confidence in the law system in my country though.”

Subsequently, Kevin replied to the reporter from Ming Pao (明報): “I have no idea and it does not affect the filming schedule. I discover it after reading the news report. The shooting is separated by 2 teams. Team A is directed by ((林淑貞) while I am always shooting in team B. I am shocked upon hearing it and what matters most is everybody is safe.”
