Earlier, TVB announced the Movie Queen, Miriam Yeung (楊千嬅) will star in Wonder Women (多功能老婆) drama. The producer cum screen writer, Ella Chan Bo Wah (陳寶華) made the preparation last year but the female lead role was supposed to be the TV Queen, Sheren Tang (鄧萃雯) who did reveal that she waited for Ella and rearranged her schedule.
Based on understanding, it causes tremendous pressure to Miriam and any of her wrong actions by will become a laughing stock after the release of the rumours. A few days ago, East Week (東周網) discovered Miriam finished all her current work speedily and conducted a meeting in marathon style with the staff in Tsim Sha Tsui. It seems that she wants to focus on the drama quickly and handle the shooting in her best condition in order not to be defeated by TV Queen.
Ella Chan’s first series is Wonder Women after her return to TVB and everyone was shocked when she announced the female lead role was Miriam, as everyone assumed the role belonged to her favourite staff, Sheren. Ella said before: “The last series that I collaborated with Sheren is I love You (我愛你). She is definitely my favourite staff and I will tailor made a series for her if she is willing to return.”
Based on the information, Sheren was looking forward to make a comeback and prefer to earn less money in China in order to film Hong Kong series and support Ella: “I feel overjoyed to see Ella’s return in TVB and it is rare to have a good script. She leaves us for more than 10 years and I really want to work with her again. I have been filming her series since small and there is a sense of familiarity. I feel like I know her very well and she praises that I meet her expectations when speaking the dialogues in I Love You drama.”
In last December, Real Ting (丁子高) helped his wife to open a company and try his best to fight for more series. Real was also pointed to use 6 months to build up the connection with TVB Executive, Sandy Yu (余詠珊) and offer to reduce the rates secretly. Miriam even remarked that the whole plan resembled an undercover work: “Why is he so secretive? Mr Ting resembles a secret agent who helps me to liaise.”
